SHOE CARE ADVICE

Using shoe trees is an essential part of caring as it will absorb moisture inside your shoes. Choose shoe trees made of wood that are adapted to the shape, length and width of your shoes, and don’t forget to store them away from heat.

To protect your shoes, you can use a shoehorn to preserve the back stiffener. Then, let your foot glide over the smooth, soft leather.

Like an everyday beauty routine, you can give the leather a touch of lustre with the shine mitt.

In the art of shoe pampering, polishing is a weekly ritual. Your supplies must be chosen carefully: a damp cloth to lift dust, a soft cloth wrapped tightly around your index finger and dipped in shoe polish to massage the leather – using small circular motions–, and a shine brush to coat the sole edge and perforations. Wait a few minutes before using a soft brush and shine mitt for the final touch.

Every so often, in order to achieve a mirror effect, you can glaze your shoes: dampen a soft cloth with water before dipping it in shoe polish, massage using small circular motions.

Every month, in order to prevent the leather from drying out prematurely, use
a moisturising cream. Its reviving effect allows shoes to stay supple whilst
making them more beautiful with each passing day. To complete the shoe care, you can use a protective oil to nourish the sole.

RESSEMELER/REMONTER
