Oxmo Puccino

In a career spanning 20 years, Oxmo Puccino has released seven albums, picked up two Victoires de la Musique awards and collaborated with prestigious artists, including Benjamin Biolay, Damon Albarn and M. By turns storyteller, rapper and singer, Oxmo Puccino takes his time and fosters a certain philosophy towards his life and career. He keeps a notebook in his pocket and understands the importance of perspective. His poetry deals in reality as he draws on everyday life to write and share his take on the world.

A multifaceted artist, Oxmo Puccino has penned three books and also took part in the opera Steve Five, produced by Roland Auzet in 2014. He made his first foray into cinema alongside director Jacques Doillon on the music for 'Les Petits Frères' in 1999. His attachment to film-making was confirmed with his first short film, 'Anti-Trente', in 2014. This year, he has come up with a modern fairytale for J.M. Weston, starring his lifelong friend Omar Sy who plays "Le Beau Dormant".
